Diane Roselle DeFrance (Mitchell) is the second of eight children born to Don and Katherine Mitchell.  She was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on July 14, 1934. She is married to Joseph DeFrance, Jr. They have two children and four grandchildren.  She is a graduate of Benton Harbor High School and held various office and administrative positions throughout her career. She retired in 2005 and remains an active leader in civic affairs in the Saint Joseph and Benton Harbor community.  Diane is an extremely caring and loving person. Her favorite scripture is: “O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever.”  Psalms 135:1. She has a willing heart and extends the same goodness and mercy that God has given to her to help others in need.
