Don C. Mitchell was the sixth of eight children born to Don and Katherine Mitchell.  He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on May 12, 1941. Don is married to Geraldine Frazier. They have two children and three grandchildren.  He is a graduate of Benton Harbor High School and Lake Michigan College, and served in the United States Air Force. He had a successful career in banking before retiring from the industry. He actively serves as a Deacon at Fellowship Baptist Mission Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
